Power suits have become very popular over the years. This fall, expect to see more colors and styles. I have always had a thing for suits because that make me feel strong and bossy. One main reason I get that feeling is because my dad always wear suits and every time I see him, he looks like the boss that he is. Even in the movies, when a man enters the room in a nice suit, he immediately grab everyones attention. As women, we do the same thing with many of the things we wear, from dresses to skirts. Suits however can be a bit tricky when it come to females and us wanting to have some sex appeal. I have come up with 3 quick tips to sex up a power suit.
- Pick a sexy top or no top at all
When wearing a suit, what is underneath is extremely important. If you are going to work, church or a meeting, my suggestion is to add a blouse. One that has color or print. If you want a more sophisticated look, stick with solids but add texture . Lace, strips or silk fabrics would be perfect. If you are going somewhere with a lacks dress code like a party or fashion event, you can eliminate a top all together. If you are not bold enough to do so, a corset, camisole or bodysuit would do the treat.
2. Add heels or flirty sneakers
Heels are a guaranteed way to sex up any look. Adding a pair of heels to your power suit will definitely do the trick because it gives you height, forces you to have good posture and elongates your legs. If you are not into heels, a cute, flirty sneaker will do the treat as well. Long gone are the days we cringe when we see grandma walk out of the house with a pair of dad shoes as she walks to the bus stop for work. Sneaker paired with super feminine looks are a thing now and I am really enjoying the trend.
3. Add Accessories
Though my accessories are very minimal with this look, adding them is a great why to sex up your suit. A bold pair of earrings, a scarf around the neck or even a hat can be the finishing touch you need to pull your look together. You can even us your hair as an accessory, adding a head piece, slicking your hair in ponytail and adding a scarf to it are great ways to bring your look together.
Whatever you choose to do with your look, confidence is key. Without it, you will never truly love what you are wearing.
