Lets face it, in the world of social media, it is more common than not t0 see women bare it all for “likes”. I know for many of us, dressing provocative or simply showing a little skin is not something we are comfortable in doing. Wether it is for religious reasons or simply your preference, no on should feel pressured to wear less clothing. I personally love dressing modest at times because it allows attention to be drawn to more than just my body. If you are having trouble with dressing modestly chic, here are a few tips that I use to put looks together.
Let your garment make a statement
Select a garment that has pizzazz. Bold prints and colors, patterns and even floral print are great when selecting modest pieces. I also love ruffles, bell bottom sleeves, and uniquely structured tops. Wear conversation starters, items that make people curious as to wear you bought it.
Secure the Bag
Now that you have a great outfit, its time to make it pop with a bag. You can keep it simple with a solid bag with a traditional silhouette or you can add some color. Clutch bags and wrist wallets are great when you don’t want your handbag to be the focal point of your look.
It’s all about the shoe
Boots, heels or sneakers oh my! The right shoe will totally take your outfit to the next level. If you are wearing a shot dress or skirt and don’t wanna bare any legs, consider a knee-high boot. If you are not into heels consider a cute sneaker. Nowadays, sneakers can be worn with just about anything.
Accessories are the final piece to the puzzle. I love wearing unique earrings and bracelet. Your accessory can also be a hat or scarf. It can even be a belt or hair accessory. Whatever you choose, make sure it is an expression of you. Nothing worse then dressing for others and not yourself.
