About 5 years ago I received my very first coffee table book. It was Chanel, one of the most iconic designers and I totally feel in love with it. Shortly after, decorating became my pastime hobby and I immediately started using them to decorate. I placed them all around my home, the coffee table, my bedroom, and my office. Anywhere I thought a book would look great, I put it there.
When placing coffee table books around my home and the homes of others, I ways ask the following questions. Does it go with the esthetics of the home? Is it too big or too small for the space? Do I need to stack more? Three books is usually the max for me and I usually stack them largest to smallest. I also consider if an accessory on top is needed.
My collections is constantly growing, with over 25 books and counting. I occasionally switch them out depending on my mood but fashion related coffee table books are my ultimate favorite. I don’t have a deep, in depth thought process behind selecting a coffee table book. If the cover is pretty, the size is right and the pictures inside are pleasing to my eyes, I usually purchase it. However, there are some coffee table books that I believe are a must have for fashion lovers. Some are because of popularity, other are based on the color scheme, and if I am being honest, some are chosen because they are fabulous black people, be it models, photographers or authors. With that being said, below are my 10 favorite coffee table books of the moment.
