PrettyLittleThing Fashion Haul

August 1, 2019

PrettyLittleThing is one of my favorite places online to find trendy, affordable fashion finds for less. I can always look to them to have a super sale so I am always racking up on fabulous pieces. Summer is coming to an end soon so I decided to pick up a few pieces from PrettyLittleThing that I can transition into the fall. I love finding pieces that are multi functional. These pieces were exactly what I was looking for so I decided to share the goodies with you all.

Plus Mint Green Woven Button Front Puff Sleeve Top

Mint green has been a color that I have loved for a while now. It is a color that comes in and out each season and it is one of my favorites. This top was a must have, not only because of the color but also the details of the sleeves and the buttons. I will be paring this top not only with jeans as pictured but also with skirts and slacks.

White Lace Up Cup Detail Puff Long Sleeve Top

The theme of this haul is clearly about sleeves unintentionally. I am obsessed with them. My favorite part of this top however is the front tie, corset look it is giving. This top also comes in black.

Snake Print Shorts Denim Romper

Rompers are perfect for those who do not want to put a lot of thought into putting a look together. I love the fact that you can dress them up or down. I decided to wear heels with this snakeskin beauty but I plan to pair it with sneakers and boots as well. This romper also comes in all white. Grab yours before it is gone.

Plus White Lace Panel Shirt Dress

I can never get enough of white dresses. The details and the collar are what make this dress so chic. The sleeves are not as dramatic as the others but I love them just the same.

Plus Camel Lace Up Square Neck Puff Sleeve Midaxi Dress

The final piece in my PrettyLittleThing fashion haul is this lace up number. I think it is so chic and it totally gives me a medieval times vibe in current day if that makes any sense. I paired this dress with a neutral shoe because I didn’t want to take away from this beautiful dress. All of the pieces I selected are currently on sale so make sure you click the links and shop, shop shop!

Let’s talk hair. Mine has been on a journey of its own. I wore my natural hair up until middle school when I was introduced to microwave ponytails. I use to have my moms kitchen smelling like mildew when I left the hair in the microwave too long . (I know this is weird to some but many people know what I’m talking about). —

When I got to college, I started wearing sew-ins and did so for a very long time. For me, they were very convenient and depending on who you ask, they help your hair grow and is considered a protective style. After undergrad I was introduced to wigs, thanks @thesocialbutterfly_aj ,and they changed my hair game forever !!! No longer did I have to sit in the salon for hours for a sew in. I simply washed my hair got it braided up and through on a wig.
____

Then I went to braids, another game changer thanks @braid3dbydesign and @stylesbymrsyo. They literally require little maintenance and you can keep them in a few months if you keep them clean and maintained. For a while I had been wanting to do something different with my hair. I was natural for over 10 years but never wore it out because I didn’t really know how to style it, or maybe I was just lazy.
_____

In January, I decided to cut and relax my hair. I was super nervous at first but @ashjotaylor put me at ease with her talented hands. Fast forward to March, salons shut down due to Covid. Though I was working from home, I had many Zoom calls and didn’t want to look crazy. I decided to take matters into my own hands and relax my own hair. That was a big mistake, I am unsure if I used old product or I kept it in too long but my hair started coming out immediately. I had to cut what was left of it off and now I am working to get it to grow again. I don’t think I’ll relax it again but I’m also not against relaxer.
_____

I’ve learned a few things through this hair process:

1️⃣ Go to a licensed professional if you can.
2️⃣Your diet plays a huge role in maintaining heathy hair.
3️⃣Protective styles are great if you don’t know how or what to do with your hair.
4️⃣Take your vitamins, they also are beneficial to maintaining healthy hair.
