New Year…

Happy New Year !! I am so excited for this new beginning. This year is the year of growth for me and I plan to execute every goal that I have set. I plan to educate myself more on blogging because it really is a very challenging task. I am working on my vision board as we speak and I can not wait to share it. I hope you all of your goals come true this year.   Outfit Details: Tahari Blazer jacket (similar here) , Skirt H&M (similar here),  Boot BCBG (similar here) ,

The Blues….

Blue is known to be a boring color. It took me while to embrace navy blue because the color always made me think of a job interview suit. I have now falling in love with the color because its a way for great way for me to stray away from black but is dark enough for me to still love. What’s your go to color? Floral ……

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I could not be more excited. As I have gotten older I do not expect gifts like I once did, I am just happy to be able to spend time with my loved ones. I have only been blogging for a few months so I am really excited to start the year off with fresh new ideas and to push the evelope a little more with my style. Wishing you and yours and very Merry Christmas!!!!!! Sweater Weather….

We finally have sweater weather here in Houston, but I am sure that will change by tomorrow. I absolutely love sweaters!! They are so warm and cozy. Sweaters are super easy to dress up or down. Over size sweaters are my favorite because I can wear them with ease and not have to camouflage my problem areas. Hope you guys are having a great week thus far.  Outfit Deets: Sweater Akira (here), Jeans Target (here), knee high boots Old (similar here), Hat Marshalls (similar here).

Back to Black …..

I  really don’t know what my obsession is with but I simply can not get enough of it. Black always seem so sleek and polished, not only that the color is very forgiving to curvy girls like myself. I am very proud of myself because slowly I am learning to incorporate  a  bit more color to my wardrobe, however black is here to stay!   xoxo Mschimee   Outfit Deets: Cropped Sweater local boutique  (similar here), Pants Target (here), Turban local boutique  (similar here), Nude Pumps Prada .

Fall Furry …..

I am super obsessed with the denim on denim trend. I remember as a teenager, growing up in Louisiana, my mom purchased a denim Levi jacket with the matching denim jeans for me one Christmas and I wore it out! With Christmas drawing near I stepped out to grab a few presents for friends and family. I have been in such an awesome mood lately. It is definitely the most wonderful time of the year.       Outfits Details: Boyfriend Jeans Target (here), Denim shirt Target (here), Fur Vest local boutique  (similar

Plaid & Leather

I absolutely love leather. I would wear it all year round if I could but I am in Houston Texas so that would not be very smart. The only thing I hate is the fact that leather is not quite forgiving. For a curvy girl like myself, without the right undergarments I would look three months pregnant. I adore plaid as well because it is so easy to dress up or down. I purchased this cute pom pom cap from BCBGeneration (here), my plaid shirt is from Marshalls ,faux leather skirt is from ASOS

Move over food truck there is a new sheriff in town but she is not serving tacos or hot wings, she is serving faux fur coats and fabulous dresses !! Luxe Style Truq is a new mobile fashion truck owned and operated by fellow stylist Shira Kay. The adorable fashion truck is decked out with black and white strips and gold accent. The truck offers trendy clothing and accessories for women, there are also items for men.  Yesterday I attended the launch party of Luxe Fashion Truq. The event was held at Archway Gallery

Thankful….

Happy Thanksgiving !!! This year has been a very trying one but I am extremely thankful for the good and the bad. Usually I travel to my home town in Louisiana for Thanksgiving, however this year I decided to create new memories and host a few friends. I am not much of a cook but with the assistants of my bestie, everything  turned out great ! Today I wore a nude zipper sweater (similar here), black liquid jeans from Target (here) my hat is from Forever 21 ( similar here)  and booties are from Steve Madden (similar here)

Back to Basics….

The weather has not been so great here in Houston which is such a bummer. It rained all day so I had to snap a few pictures really quickly before it came down heavily. As I was posing for  pictures outside of a friends apartment the FedEx guy literally parked and watched LOL. I was so mad because the rain was starting to come down so I basically was photo bombed by the Fed Ex guy. I decided to go back to basics and try not to put so much thought into my
