SheIn -Your Online Fashion Women Kimonos

I have to be totally honest, I really hate kitten heels unless they are worn to work or church. However, I am slowly becoming a fan of them, not all, but some. When I saw these slide ons knew I had to have them. I think the bow is super adorable and the powder blue made them very feminine. You will totally see these in heavy rotation this spring. Now to this top, I love the fact that is looks like a corset over a blouse when it really is just one top. The dramatic sleeves are what I love most about this top. I paired this look with a leather mini skirt and fish net stocking. I keep telling myself that I am going to wear more color this spring. Bare with me because it is something I am have a hard time doing every year. The weather is very warm here in Houston so you might see me wearing a little less as we going into summer. Of course it will be with style and class as always.

Thanks for stopping by !

Since it is the beginning of Spring, one would that I should be wearing floral print and mini skirts. It is hot in Houston so those pieces are coming soon, however I do not dress for the weather, I dress based on my mood. I guess I am feeling pretty bad ass with this look. The thing I love about fashion is, you can totally go into character or change the way you feel, simply by changing you clothing. Think about it, when wearing sweatpants and flip flops, you totally feel like lodging around, at least I do. However, if I am wearing a ball gown, I feel so elegant and regal. This look totally makes me feel like a member of a cool rock bad.

I love graphic t shirts, and I think I am one of only a few that actually like white shoes when styled correctly. If you have been following my previous post, it should come at no surprise that I am wearing yet another denim jacket. I am totally obsessed with them at the moment. As the season changes I will be taking off the layers and wearing items that are a bit cooler, however, do not be alarmed if you see me rocking a leather jacket from time to time. Just know I am cool on the inside! HAHA

I am totally having a moment with denim jackets. Within the last month I have purchased at least 4 of them. Denim is what I consider a comfy classic. You can dress denim up or down and from jeans to jackets, denim is definitely my go to piece. You rarely catch me in short skirts but as of late, I have been having a moment with them as well. I totally hate showing my legs so I try to avoid them at all cost but hey, it is hot in Houston so I will be wearing less as the seasons change. Count down to Spring has officially began so this week I am Spring cleaning my closet !!

TuTu’s are so fun to wear. Every time I wear one it puts me in such a good mood. They always gives me the Carrie Bradshaw moment every women wish they could have. I also adore off the shoulder shirts. To me, shoulders are one of the sexiest parts of your body. I know this might come off a little weird but to me they really are. I thought this Zara off the shoulder shirt was a perfect choice to pair with this tutu. Because they never disappoint, I paired this look with my favorite pumps. If you do not have a tutu to strongly suggest you get one, I am telling you it will have you humming the theme song of “Sex & The City” all day.

The 90s were definitely some of my most favorite times growing up. I loved the music, the movies but most of all I loved the fashion. The 90s were all about baggy clothing and lots of color. When I saw this jacket I immediately had to buy it, the oversized sleeves and construction of the jacket screams 90s R&B group. Athleisure was popular last season and I don’t see it fading away this season at all. These WhoWhatWear track pants are prefect with sneaker or heels. I opted to wear them with heels this time around, well actually they are sneaker heels. Truthfully speaking, my friends hate these sneaker heels. I like them so thats all that matters to me (LOL).

Spring is quickly approaching but it has been super warm here in Houston, I hoping for a little bit of cooler weather the next few weeks. If that doesn’t happen I totally have lots of spring attire that I am looking forward to wearing.

From watching the very entertaining Oscars (anyone see the very awkward mix up) to catching the Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, it is safe to say that I had an awesome weekend. Unfortunately, I am paying for it today. It is nothing Advil and a pair of sunglasses can’t fix. Shades are the perfect accessory, you can put them on to give and outfit the extra pop that you are looking for. These are defiantly one of my favorite pair. The bold lens and cat eye structure makes them look very retro, which I love.

In a previous post, I talked about the amazing items I got on sale at Zara. This lovely jumpsuit was one of them. Can you believe it was only $12.99, the original price was $100 so this definitely was a win for me. I love wearing all black. Black is so chic and sophisticated. I am trying to add more color to my wardrobe but it is am ongoing battle with myself that I am losing. When it comes to shopping, for the most part, I am a very careful spender. I usually don’t spend a lot on clothing or shoes unless they are investment pieces. I think every girl should own a good pair of pumps and so that you wont have to replace them all the time, quality is key.

I purchased these So Kates as a birthday present to myself about a year ago are by far one of the best purchases I have made to date. They can go with pretty much anything which is the reason I decided to get them in black. Now, I am not saying go out and splurge on a pair of Christian Louboutins, what I am saying is if you know that you will wear something many times, why not get something that will last. With only a few days left in the month I challenge you to go through your closet what your investment pieces are and see if they are built to last.

Have you ever had a day that you put little to no effort into an outfit but somehow it worked? That is actually what happened when I decided to wear this outfit. With the weather in Houston being so up and down, I always layer or wear something really light so that it is easy for me to cool down or occasionally, warm up. Funny story about this outfit, I went to Walmart to pick up some Valentine’s Day candy and I saw this sweater on a $5 clearance rack, nothing against Walmart but it isn’t were I usually shop. That day and 1 hour later, I left the store with ten $5 catch phrase sweatshirts. Shortly afterwards, I made my way to the mall to make a return, the sale Gods were in my favor that day because I scored this yellow pleated skirt among other pieces for only $10 (Come through God!!)

The unfortunate thing about sales or the items usually are not online to purchase. Which brings me to something I think is really cool. Starting next month, I will now sale select items that I love on my blog under the closet tab. Yep, some of the pieces and shoes that I wear will have a very limited quantity available for you to purchase. I am very excited about it and hope that you all are too. So now when I find an item such as this $5 sweatshirt, I will grab a few more and ship them to your door.

The weather in Houston will not cooperate with my winter wardrobe and I am not too pleased about it. I will say, it had not detoured me from wearing jackets and sweaters, even if it is 80 degrees outside. (Don’t judge me !) I have had this jacket stored for over a year so I decided, if I don’t wear it now, I probably never will.  Love them or hate them, mules are making a comeback this season. I have to admit, I hated them growing up. What did I know back then?  Even though I loved fashion at the time, I was a total tomboy so the thought of wearing anything remotely girly was a complete no for me. Boy, how times have changed. I got these silver mules at a steal of a deal and they are super comfy.

Every girl should have a classic white t shirt and a pair of black jeans. They are so versatile when it comes to putting together an outfit. I opted to wear them both with this jacket because lets face it, the jacket speaks for itself. It was really sunny outside so I grabbed a pair of my favorite sunnies. I accessorized with a red clutch to add a pop of color to the outfit. I have finally come to terms that Houston will not have a winter this year so I guess my spring countdown begins now.

Every year or so a new holiday comes around that I never heard of as a child, like National Pizza Day, National Sibling Day and Cupcake Day. Don’t get me wrong, I love a reason to celebrate but one of my all time favorite made up holidays has to be Galentine’s Day. So what is Galentine’s Day? Well, I thought you’d never ask. Galentine’s Day is a holiday create by Amy Poehler’s Parks and Recreation character Leslie Knope. It occurs every year on February 13, the day before Valentine’s Day. It’s the day you and your gal pals leave your husbands, boyfriends, kids, pets, whatever you love at home and celebrate over drinks, ice cream, a movie, whatever you choose. It is the perfect why to spread love to those you love that are not necessarily your lover.

I decided to celebrate Galentine’s Day with my favorite blogger boo OutspokenlyChic. She is so fabulous and I always have a great time with her. What’s Galentine’s Day without a cute love mural and the go to color of the holiday , the color red. I opted to wear a simple off the shoulder dress and heels, and OutspokenlyChic, who never disappoints, wore a sexy red jumpsuit and an adorable white blazer with fringes. As Galentine’s Day comes to a close I would like to wish you all a Happy Galentine’s/Valentine’s Day.
