Black on Black

From watching the very entertaining Oscars (anyone see the very awkward mix up) to catching the Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, it is safe to say that I had an awesome weekend. Unfortunately, I am paying for it today. It is nothing Advil and a pair of sunglasses can’t fix. Shades are the perfect accessory, you can put them on to give and outfit the extra pop that you are looking for. These are defiantly one of my favorite pair. The bold lens and cat eye structure makes them look very retro, which I love.

In a previous post, I talked about the amazing items I got on sale at Zara. This lovely jumpsuit was one of them. Can you believe it was only $12.99, the original price was $100 so this definitely was a win for me. I love wearing all black. Black is so chic and sophisticated. I am trying to add more color to my wardrobe but it is am ongoing battle with myself that I am losing. When it comes to shopping, for the most part, I am a very careful spender. I usually don’t spend a lot on clothing or shoes unless they are investment pieces. I think every girl should own a good pair of pumps and so that you wont have to replace them all the time, quality is key.

I purchased these So Kates as a birthday present to myself about a year ago are by far one of the best purchases I have made to date. They can go with pretty much anything which is the reason I decided to get them in black. Now, I am not saying go out and splurge on a pair of Christian Louboutins, what I am saying is if you know that you will wear something many times, why not get something that will last. With only a few days left in the month I challenge you to go through your closet what your investment pieces are and see if they are built to last.

You’re, right there is something about an all blank outfit. I’m an all black ensemble type of person as well. Endlessly classy… Love that you only spent $12.99 on jumpsuit!

Chimee, this outfit rocks! Black is so classy and chic for sure, I actually need more black outfits in my life. I have too much color and patterns but when I want a chill or classy night out, I’m usually too far out or too casual…like a simple casual. If I had black, I’d be more classy, casual. haha anywho, you’re rocking the look! I don’t have man investment pieces other than a few sneakers, but your right you pay for what you get! Keep up the great work!

OOoooh I didn’t know this was a jumpsuit until you said it!!! WOW! Such a great deal! Hahaha that Oscars Snafu was epic. Felt bad for La La Land, but it is what it is. Looks like your Mardi Gras time was fun. I’ve never been to a real Mardi Gras event. It’s on my bucket list though!
