6 Must Have Pieces From Rivers Island
Spring is in full swing so I partnered with Rivers Island to put together a few pieces that I think are perfect for the season. For those of you who are not familiar with Rivers Island, they are a London – headquartered high street brand , which operates in a number of worldwide markets. Now that you know a little about the brand lets get into the first item that I totally adore which are these gorgeous heels. I absolutely love the bold green color of them. What I love most about them are the bedazzled snake design that goes across the front of the shoe. The heels definitely are a party shoes or fun shoes as I like to call them. If you love them as much as I do, grab them (here), before they are gone.
While I am on the subject of fun, how about this bold pink jumpsuit? I received so many compliments when I wore it. Many people thought it was a dress at first glance but it is for sure a jumpsuit. What is not to love about this jumpsuit? The pink color is so vibrant, and looks great against my skin if I do say so myself. The slits in the front gives off and sexy yet sophisticated vibe and the ruffled strap across the front is a cool added bonus. This jumpsuit runs true to size and I am wearing a size 12. I could have gone up to a size 14 just to give a little room for my tummy but then the rest of the outfit would have been a bit loose. Last a check sizes were limited to shop this look (here) before it is gone.
The next two items that I scored from Rivers Island are perfect for the beach. I have really been into flats this season and I thought these slides were so adorable. If I had to describe the material of the slides, they are a mixture between straw and plastic. They are super comfy and I love they added pearls to glam them up a bit. This hat is great for blocking the scorching heat here is Houston. It is an oversized whichI love, and is detailed in black trimming. This straw hat will be in heavy rotation when I am going to the pool or the beach. You can check out more details of the slides (here) and the hat (here).
I have to admit, I hated culottes growing up as a child. My mom would make them and force me to wear them to school. Fast forward to many years later and I cannot get enough of them. When I saw these I just knew I have to grab them. I love the fact that they are layered in ruffles in the front but the back is not. If someone sees you from the back they would automatically think you have on a basic pair of culottes only to their surprise when you turn around and they see all the layered glory in the front. I plan to pair these pants with heels in the future but I love how they look with slides as well.
Item #6 is this off the shoulder orange top. I recently wrote a blog post professing my love for off the shoulder pieces (see here), so this one should come at no surprise. The layered sleeves and detailed pattern is what drew me to this beautiful top. Its tucked into my pants but I plan to pair it with a nice pair of jeans and heels in the near future. Overall, I think this entire look screams beach. What do you think? Shop the top I am wearing (here) and the culottes (here).
Bonus!!! Okay, I know this post is about 6 pieces I scored but I decided to throw in these chunky sneaker because I am obsessed with them at the moment and they to are from Rivers Island. They are very comfortable but they are also very heavy. They color combination is perfect and so it the price. If you are feeling them, you can purchase them here.
