Clothing has a way of giving me different characters, for example, when I am feeling lazy, I throw on a pair of sweats and feel sorta bummy all day. When I have to wear a gown, I carry my self very elegantly and it makes me feel very regal. Now this outfit on the other hand, makes me feel like a rock star or a total bad ass! I purchased this furry jacket with the intent of wearing it to church. I probably will wear it to church at some point but I decided to pair it with a pair of moto jeans this time around. I have been so into Chelsea boots lately. I have a friend who wears them all the time and though he is a male, it inspired me to purchase a pair of my own. I found these gold babies for a steal! Because I love hats and I was having a bad hair day, I wore my favorite one (seen here). I completed this look with a pair of Gucci shades I got on sale on a recent trip to New Orleans. I added a matching clutch and my favorite red lipstick.

So the holidays are over and now it is time to pack up your festive holiday pieces and put them away until the time rolls around again. Not so fast ! I totally believe in transitioning pieces from season to season, case in point, this lovely velvet dress. I purchased it to wear to a holiday party. I opted to wear something else but did not want to put it away until next season. By adding a button down shirt I was able to wear it to church, it is a perfect look for work as well. I paired this look with a pair of velvet pumps and velvet chocker to give it a little spice. I grabbed a silver clutch to break away from so much black and the look is complete. What are your thoughts ? Do you pack your holiday attire away or transition them?

I am sort of a tomboy so mixing traditional feminine pieces with pieces that are edgy are a no brainer for me. This lace dress and leather jacket is a perfect example of mixing edgy and feminine together. Don’t get me wrong, this dress will be worn again without the jacket so this look is a win win for me. I think leather boots are essential in everyones wardrobe. I incorporated them with this look added a lace chocker and leather bag to complete this look. This dress in now on clerance for under $20 so if you like it, grab it before its gone.

I have to admit, I am a sucker for a great pair of shades so when these babies from Fello Eyewear arrived I was super excited. The tortoise shell is my all time favorite and the touch of gold brought the elegance I love in eyewear. For the new year, I am attempting to incorporate more flats into my wardrobe. I am a heels girl so wearing flats more often will definitely be a change for me. I absolutely love these flats from Zara. The adorable bow and neutral tone sealed the deal for me.

Because my shoes are already a statement piece, I kept my outfit very simple with a pair of denim jeans, a simple white blouse and sleeveless jacket. I added my favorite snakeskin handbag (seen here) to finish off this look. Hope the new year is treating you well so far.
