Hard to believe that in a few short days 2016 will officially be behind us. What a year it has been? I have decided not to dwell on the rough patches of 2016 and focus on all the positive things that happened. Like attending NYFW with a group of great bloggers, meeting new friends, hosting a few successful events and traveling to Disney World at Christmas to spend the holiday with my family. I have set new goals for 2017 for my blog and my personal life. I am very excited to see what the new year brings.

I purchased this lovely dress last year on a trip to Dubai. I absolutely love the embroidered detailing. Though it was September at the time, I purchased this dress specifically for Christmas. I didn’t get a chance to wear it last year so when the holiday season came around this year, I had to pull it out. Unfortunately, I don’t have details on it being that it is a year old. Instead, I put together a few holiday dress looks that would be perfect to round off this holiday season. If I don’t post again till next year I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year!!

Christmas has come and gone and the New Year is quickly approaching. Now is the time to set new goals and focus on the things that went well in 2016. I am really enjoying my holiday inspired looks that I put together the past few weeks. This dress is yet another piece from the Who What Wear Collection. I am currently obsessed with anything velvet. I really love wrap dresses, to me they are flattering on just about everyone. This gray number is perfect for any holiday event. Because it is winter (though you can’t really tell in Houston) I decided to add a lace top underneath to give this look some volume. I am so in love with the detailing on the sleeves. I finished it off with a pair of patent leather boots I scored for under $50 at Zara and added my favorite fuzzy clutch of the moment (seen here) to complete this look.

Happy Holidays and thanks for reading….

Christmas is only a few days away and I have been having such a great time with my holiday looks. This one is by far one of my favorites. I enjoy mixing textures and fabric. This accordion skirt screams holiday season to me. The velvet trend is one of my favorites this season. I also really love the ruffle trend much like the shirt I am wearing. This blouse specifically reminds me of a top one of my favorite artist, Prince, would have worn. My heels are dark green velvet though they look black in the picture. I completed with look with my a cute bow clutch that is perfect for the holiday. It is 80 degrees here in Houston, it doesn’t feel like Christmas to me in regard to weather but it is totally beginning to look like it.

Happy Holiday Everyone!

Whoever came up with the phrase ” All that glitters ain’t gold” certainly wasn’t speaking of this dress. Wrap dresses, in my opinion are the most flattering dress style that I have ever seen. They look great of almost everyone and the structure of them makes for a perfect silhouette. I remember purchasing my first one from the wrap dress icon, Diane Von Furstenberg, years ago. Till this day it is one of my favorite pieces of all times. The glittery number is the second look of my holiday outfit inspiration post. The dress is yet another piece I picked up from the Who What Wear collection. If you have seen any of my previous post then it should come as not surprise. I simply love them. This dress is perfect for the holiday. The length of it is very work appropriate which is perfect for an office holiday party.

I wanted to glam this look up a little so I added a cute faux fur that I purchased last year from the Target x Altuzarra  collaboration. It has been in rotation every time I feel a little breeze *giggles. I completed this look by added a pair of fur slides (seen here). I kept my accessories at minimum with a pair of gold hoops and added my favorite red lipstick to finish it off.

It’s begining to look a lot like Christmas……. Finally !!

For the entire month of December, I have decided to put together festive outfits that you can wear this holiday season. From the office, to a holiday party, I hope that you find some fashion inspriation from my holiday post.

This sweater and top combo is very verstialle. Black sweaters are a must have for your winter wardrobe. You can literally wear them with almost anything. The furry details on this sweater is a nice added touch and makes the sweater less casual. Sequin screams holiday party! This sequin skirt can be worn day or night. The length of the skirt is very work appropriate. I paired this look with a fun pair of furry slippers and furry bag that I am totally obsessed with at the moment. If you are not into furry things like I am, a simple sandal or a cute pair of booties will work with this look as well. Happy Holiday !!

I love to take super girly pieces and mix them with something a bit more edgy. I am not a girly girl at all but I do love super feminine pieces. I have been trying my best to stay away from wearing so much black this year. I am proud to say I have worn colors I never thought I would wear and I am totally enjoying it. Okay, this outfit is mostly black but I never said I was totally eliminating the color (*giggles). As I mentioned in a previous post, I am really enjoying the pajama trend and this slip skirt is no exception. I fell in love with the satin material and the lace trimming.I am also obsessed with the slits that are added on the sides.

To give this look a bit more edge, I paired it with another trend that I am feeling, the shirt under shirt. I have also worn the shirt under dress (here). I don’t know if that is the correct terminology for the trend but you get the point. The shirt reads “Perfection is Lame”. I couldn’t agree more. It gets challenging at times to live by that phrase when you scroll through your social media feed or television and see these so called “perfect” bodies or “perfect” lives. You just have to remember that no one is perfect and everyone has room to improve something.

Now to my boots, don’t you just love them? Well, if you don’t, I do. My favorite part are the cut outs on the side and the buckle. To brighten this look up just a bit, I added a yellow clutch bag (seen here) and my favorite red lippie. What trends are you obsessed with this year?
