Have you ever gone shopping and fall in love with an item but you hate the color? Or try on a pair of pants but the waist is too big or the legs are too tight? As a curvy girl and a very picky shopper, this happens to me quite frequently. Recently I was introduced to the brand Eshakti and I was pleasantly surprised the company not only offer sizes from 0-36W but you can also customize the size and style of whatever item you choose. How awesome is that?

Eshakti has a wide selection to choose from. They have dresses, tops, shirts, jackets and just recently added custom jeans. After browsing the website for what seems like forever, I finally narrowed my search to this cute jumpsuit. I fell in love with the structure and detail of the arms. I was given the option to keep or remove the belt, of course I kept it. I was also allowed to remove the floral details on the sleeves if I wanted. I choose not to because it is what I like most about the jumpsuit. Finally, I entered my measurements, and my custom jumpsuit was complete.

The jumpsuit arrived really fast and I love the way it fit me. I paired it with a pair of DVF sandals I purchased years ago and my favorite go to Vince Camuto clutch. I love the idea of customizing your garment to your liking. My next purchase will defiantly be the customized jeans because a good pair of denim is hard to find.

What do you get when you mix fashion, art, and a great cause together? You get the 3rd Annual All White Celebrity Charity Fashion Show. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending this event and I must say, it was filled with surprises. From a guy on stilts, to an open bar sponsored by VIP Vodka and I cannot forget wonderful entertainment. The event was hosted by Jay Barnett, former NFL Player and Motivational Speaker, Mimi Irvin, Stylist & Fashion Influencer, Ashley Dunn, Entrepreneur & Stylist and Rumela Dey, Fashion Blogger and Youtuber.

A portion of the proceeds were donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Houston Chapter. Designers of the show included La Bella Elisa, Markina Smith, Darnell McGowen Designs, Designs by Claire, The Meye Label and Gypsy Mecca. The event was amazing and I look forward to seeing whats in store next year.

My NYFW has come to an end and I am headed back to Houston. I enjoyed every bit and plan to stay the entire week next year. I wore this dress to a bloggers brunch that a few of us Houston Blogger gals put together at a cute little restaurant in New York, “Little Prince”. I highly recommend the onion soup burger if you ever pay a visit. New York has so much to discover. Every time I am there a stumble across something new. One of the highlights of the day was visiting Carrie Bradshaw’s home she filmed Sex & The City. That show is and probably will be my all time favorite sitcom. Overall, this NYFW trip has been nothing short of amazing and I am counting down the days to do it all over again!

Day 3 of NYFW has come and gone. I have to admit it has been a few of the hottest days ever. In fact, the warm weather here in New York is record breaking for this time of year. This has been very unfortunate for me because I packed thinking the weather would be much cooler. I live in Houston, TX so I have had my fair share of hot weather. I just can’t believe it followed me all the way to New York. On another note, New York is my absolute favorite city in the United States so I will glady accepted whatever it has to offer.

Today was a very fun field day, I went to Dumbo, Brooklyn for the Essence Magazine Block Party. It was very fun and I got a chance to see a few of my favorite bloggers.  Next, I travled to Pier 16 to catch a glimpse of the new Tommy Hilfiger X Gigi Hadid collaboration. I never thought in a million years that I would be exicted about Tmmy Hilfiger again. I haven’t worn the brand since junior high but the collection is so fun and affordable . On top of that, the idea of presenting the collection with a Tommy X Gigi Carnaival was simply brilliant. (Sidebar: I totally flt like a kid again riding the rides and stuffing my face with corndogs).

For the occasion I kept my outfit very trendy by wearing the tshirt and dress trend. I paired it with an oversized jacket and a pair of clear booties which were 100 times cheaper than the new Yezzy sandals that I have been seeing the Kardashian sisters wear. Tomorrow is my last day of NYFW fun and I am a bit sad about it already. I have a bloggers brunch later today that I am very excited about. Stay tuned for another recap later today.

CA9CA4CA6Day 2 of NYFW is underway and I decided to hit the street in all grey. I started the morning by catching a few shows for Fashion Gallery New York Fashion Week, followed by Style Fashion Week then I hung out in front of New York Fashion Week Shows. When you are in up and coming blogger like myself , it can be challenging to get invited to the main shows, however NYFW is a great place to network and get your name out there. If nothing else, you get to dress nice and roam the concrete jungle.

Day 1 of NYFW is underway and I could not be more excited. I absolutely love New York, especailly during this time. Today I had lunch with a few blogger friends, attended a few shows and now I am on my way to a media press party. This dress is totally giving me Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. I am actually going to visit the home she filmed the show in tomorrow. So excited. Stay tuned for my day to day recap. This dress is from a local boutique in Houston so unfortunately I don’t have outfit deets. I will update should I find it online.
