As I have gotten older, I have begin to spend money on what I consider are investment pieces rather than trendy items. The reason being is that often times I would purchase something “trendy” and only get to wear it once. Trends come and go and I want to get as many wears possible from the items I purchase.  Rather it is statement bag or a neutral heel, I now ask myself two simple question when I shop. “Would I wear this a year from now”? or “Is it worth the money”? If the answer is yes to both question, we have a winner!

My lasted obsession have been white vest or white sleeveless jackets, whatever you choose to call it. All of my friends know how much I love wearing white, and jackets, so I am just head over heels with white vest. Vest or sleeveless jackets, are cool ways to complete an outfit without having to put a heavy jacket with sleeves in warmer weather. I adore white because it is fresh, light weight and looks amazing on every skin tone in my opinion. You can dress them up with a nice dress or skirt. You can also dress them down with jean are casual slacks. How ever you choose to wear a vest is up to you, but  I have included some inspiration for your enjoyment.

It is officially Spring and I could not be more excited. It is now time to pull out those sandals and dresses . Though I love Spring weather and bright colors, I must admit I tend to wear dark colors all year round. In my opinion dark colors look better on me but I will do my best to add more color in my wardrobe. I have been told bright colors make you look and feel happier. I am naturally a happy person with bright colors or in all black.

Every Sunday my bestie and I scout new places to have brunch and today was no different. We found this cute little Mexican Restaurant not far from my home. The food was good however I was more intrigued by the structure of the building so of course I has to snap a few pictures. The building reminded me of some of the buildings from my vacation last year in Mexico. The weather was gloomy so unfortunately I could not capture as many pictures as I wanted .

For the occasion  I wore a navy blue dress from Shabby Apple. The dress was very comfortable and I love the way the hem hit at the knee. The belt added a sophisticated  touch and I loved the length of the sleeves. I paired it with my favorite Rebecca Minkoff sandals. My clutch is Ann Taylor that I scored from a local resale shop. As for  my nails, I got them painted bright yellow which I am still getting use to but it added a pop of color to complete my look.
