I went apartment hunting over the weekend which I absolutely dread. For the frustrating occasion I throw on a pair of boyfriend jeans by Levi (similar here) a stripped shirt from a local boutique (similar here). My twist are on its last leg so I pulled my hair up in a bun and put on a cute headband I got from Forever 21. It is still rather warm in Houston right now so I wore my favorite Zara sandals. My clutch bag is Forever 21 as well which completed my casual look.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the launch party of Sneaker Gang sneakers at Hudson Lounge here in Houston. Sneaker Gang owner, Marc Boone, designed the snake print lace ups becoming the first pair of sneakers out of Houston Texas. The event was sponsored by D’ussè, Haze Hookah tobacco, and Private Club exotics. Music producer Bryan Michael Cox hosted the event. With D’ussè flowing and hookah blowing Sneaker Gang launch party was the place to be this past Saturday night. The party was not just about fun, a portion of the proceeds from the event was donated to Zero to A 100 Foundation created by retired police officer Jason Roy, who was paralyzed in 2011 after a high-speed chase with a suspected car thief. The sneakers are very high quality and honestly would give luxury brands like Balmain and Balenciaga a run for their money. The sneakers are available in Red or Black. To purchase a pair visit Sneaker Gang .
It has not quite been a month since I have launched my blog and I am having writers block already. I am also having trouble finding cool locations to shoot and do not forget the fact that I am still learning to use my camera. I know it will get better with time but blogging is harder than I thought. LOL Anyway, On the way to my car I saw this cool motorcycle. I felt that I had already dressed the part so I decided to take pictures by it in hopes that the owner did not see me. They came out ok but I am on the hunt for new locations as I type. I wore a cool t-shirt with a lace top I actually scored on EBay. I do not follow the no white after Labor Day rule so I wore my favorite Rachel Roy jeans and boots from Steve Madden to complete the look. Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend!!!
It was very hot in Houston this weekend so I put on a comfy hoodie and skirt set I purchased for Marshalls to run to errands. I wore my favorite metallic Kate Spade clutch and a pair of heels that were gifted to me by solecietyshoetique and off I went.
This weekend was quite peaceful so I decided to get dressed and go site seeing in the city. As I started to drive, I notice a beautiful little creek with a waterfall so I pulled over to snap a few pictures. I had a dinner date later in the evening so I decided to wear a suit by Vince Camuto. The suit bottoms were actually capris but I did not like the way they fit so I got them trimmed into shorts. I threw on my favorite Steve Madden sandals of the moment and off I went. My friends neice put my twist in a bun which I loved and off I went. Hope you guys had a great weekend and an even better week.
A nude shoe is a must have in every women’s closet. It is the go to shoe for prints, patterns or bold solid silhouettes. I believe every women should invest in a nude pump, sandal and boot. I am obsessed with Christian Louboutin nude collection because he was genius enough to design a nude shoe for females with a darker hue. My nude lust list consist of Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, and Stuart Weitzmen. I am saving my coins to purchase as I type.
I was such a tomboy as a kid. I remember running around with the boys, getting dirty and my mom would be so upset. I was introduced to heels in high school and I quickly turned my sneakers in for pumps. Though I wear sneakers from time to time, nothing can take the place of a high heeled shoe to me. When I wear men inspired looks, and want to make them a little sexy I put on a nice heel to give it a more feminine feel. My friends would tell you that I love black and white. I am trying my best to add more color to my wardrobe but I can not get away from blacks and whites. I had a meeting with a photographer friend of mine and wanted to wear something cute yet comfy. I put on my favorite liquid jeans from Zara, sandal are from Zara as well , a sweatshirt I simply love that I got on Amazon.com for $15.00 and my faux leather cap from KarmaCouture Boutique. The meeting went well but I hope Fall weather finds its way to Houston really soon.
I have to admit I really love leopards and strips. They are my go to combo. I enjoy wearing them as individual pieces as well. It was a beautiful day in Houston so I met up with a friend for much needed girl talk. I wore a stripped bodysuit from Michael Kors, I have been so obsessed with Amazon.com which is were my skirt is from ( 10 bucks shhh) my pumps are from KarmaCouture Boutique and last but not least my go to clutch bag is from Forever 21. Enjoy your day loves!!

My Alma Mata ( Southern University ) celebrated their 100 year Centennial this past weekend so I decided to travel to my hometown of Baton, Rouge, LA to join in on the festivities. It was a last minute decision for me so I literally threw a few items in an overnight bag and off I went. My first stop was to my moms house. I asked her to snap a few pictures of me. Needless to say it was a struggle for the both of us but I plan to take some photography lessons from a friend of mine really soon. I wanted to be comfy, yet cute so I wore a plaid shirt from Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply, a pair of high waist Levis, a very old pair of Steven Madden pumps and a hat I grab from Target . I had a great time home as always. GO Jags!!!!
